In nature the diamond comes about through years and years of pressure that result in a precious gem whose beauty and timelessness knows no rival. The Basso Diamante too is the result of years of hard work, research and pressure to develop the finest racing bike that is timeless not only in terms of performance and reliability but also in form and beauty.

Made by hand, in Italy, by Basso, the Diamante represents a true representation of exactly what a fine, authentic Italian racing bike should be. Using only the finest high modulus carbon fiber from Toray the Basso engineering staff have produced a frame capable of efficient performance that lasts and excels over all terrain. Tube shapes and carbon layup allow for a reactive frame with bottom bracket flex of a mere 0.4mm and a head tube torsion of an amazingly low 0.2mm…a 50% improvement over previous models. Available in both disc and rim versions, the new frame has been optimized to allow for up to 28mm tires, thus increasing even further the Diamante’s versatility.

Add to the tried, trusted and approved Basso geometry an elegant front end that allows the flexible rider to achieve an extremely aggressive position while allowing the more upright rider to maintain a front end more compact in appearance. If looking good is half the battle then the Diamante has the battle won as its every fiber is meant for moving faster and in a more efficient manner yet its form is an example of undeniable Italian design and class. Functionally beautiful and beautifully functional: Basso Diamante.

Diamante

The Diamante follows only the footsteps of its previous versions as it leads all others in the category of essential race bikes. The classic lines, flawless geometry and rounded tube shapes meet with a construction aimed at offering race winning performance that lasts to create the perfect tool for the trade no matter where, how or over what terrain you race

More than meets the eye

An essentially essential frame eliminates all superfluous design elements and concentrates on its core mission: racing. The elegant and minimalistic design hides the story of an extremely complex design. The finest materials available manufactured with care and laid into place, by hand, in accordance to meticulous studies on material and shape behavior confer to the frame a performance riding experience that quickly conquers the emotions of even the most demanding cyclist.

Ride, Perfected

Stable, reactive, efficient and handles as if it had four wheels instead of two the Diamante is a versatile road racing bike that is capable of performing everywhere and in every type of racing scenario. More than great geometry and fantastic craftsmanship or materials, the details behind the long list of technological solutions contribute greatly to its exceptionally versatile performance. The curved fork stands out amongst conventional design and adds a great deal of stability.

Integrated Front-End

The head tube/top tube junction provides yet another example of unconventional design as it allows the headset to sit below the top tube, allowing for not only better maneuverability but also a cleaner aesthetic.

3B Clamp System

While integrated seat post clamps are not uncommon, the Basso solution goes beyond merely holding the seatpost in the desired position. The 3B seatpost clamp is capable of absorbing road vibrations in addition to representing one of the most elegant and effective solutions available.
